FORT WAYNE, Ind. --- The Pilots completed their first sweep in their Crossroads League campaign with considerable wins in each match on Friday.
All three doubles matches won to take the doubles point with high-margin victories from
Bernat Coll Ballester defeating Javier Ferrada and Hugo Gonzalez Cabanas 6-3 in one doubles,
Santiago Flores and
Nicolo Marchetti defeated Grant Mishler and Devon McCaffrey in two doubles 6-0. Three doubles was won by
Paulo Reis and
Garrison Miller over Huamani Tello Alfredo and Enzo Bozonnett.
Victor Bonsergent took one singles over Huamani Tello Alfredo 6-1, 6-0, two singles was won by
Daniel Jancic over Javier Ferrado 6-2, 7-5,
Santiago Flores won three singles over Devon McCaffrey 6-1, 6-2, Four singles went to
Nicolo Marchetti in two games 6-4, 6-0 over Hugo Gonzalez Cabanas,
Paulo Reis won over Grant Mishler 6-0, 6-4 in five singles and six singles was won by
Sergio Orradre Escudero over Cristian Pena 6-1, 6-1.
NEXT TIME OUT
Men's Tennis host the Spring Arbor Cougars at Ward Baker Park on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. before taking on the ITA Midwest Regional. The Cougars are 2-3, 1-3 on the season, and came off a loss to the #24 Marian Knights 7-0 at home.
