MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Women's Lacrosse squad (6-4, 2-1) took on Madonna University (0-10, 0-3) and defeated them 14-1 for their home season opener.
Bethel started early against Madonna, with a goal from Addi Jones, assisted by Isabell Gerbrand, at 14:16 left in the first.
Serenity Kretschmer scored two goals in the first quarter, both free-position shots.
Lydia Andrews opened the second quarter with her first goal of the game at 9:52, assisted by Addi Judson.
After six goals total in the second quarter, they were up 9-0 at halftime.
The Pilots continued their offense and scored five more times until Madonna scored with 5:30 left in the match.
Kretschmer scored four goals, had four shots on goal, and one assist.
Brea Larrison had three goals and one assist.
Isabell Gerbrand recorded one goal and two assists and led the team with eight ground balls.

The Pilots will be home on Morey Field on March 27 at 5:00 p.m. as they take on #7 Indiana Tech.
