MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Women's Basketball team (6-17, 1-12) lost 73- 64 at home to the University of Saint Francis (14-8, 7-6) in Gates.
Turnovers didn't play a significant factor in tonight's contest, as each team had nine in the 73-64 USF victory.
The Pilots had a slight, steady lead in the first two quarters and even got as big as a seven-point lead.
The Cougars came back and took the lead late in the third quarter off a Chloe Mcknight three-pointer at 4:15 (40-38).
Bethel stayed close throughout the remainder of the third quarter, but USF took a more significant lead in the fourth quarter and closed the game. Saint Francis had 22 bench points to Bethel's 17.
Abby Williams led the Pilots in points with 14 and added three rebounds.
Maiah Shelton and Ellia Foster each scored 11 points, with Shelton having four rebounds and Foster having two.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots will be on the road on Saturday, Feb. 10th, taking on Mount Vernon Nazarene University, with tipoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
