SPRING ARBOR, Mich. --- In the Crossroads League Championship Quarterfinals, the eighth-seeded Bethel Pilots women's soccer team (6-5-6) fell to the first-seeded #11 Spring Arbor University Cougars (13-3-0) in a tough 6-0 loss.

Unfortunately, the Pilots fell short with a 6-0 loss. The Cougars started strong, securing two goals in the first half. Maislin Joldersma opened the scoring in the 11th minute, followed by Fara Serra in the 39th, 2-0 SAU.

In the second half, Spring Arbor continued to dominate, with Joldersma scoring again in the 46th minute to grow the Cougar lead to 3-0.

Claire VanZanten hit the fourth goal in the 54th minute, followed by Ayla Thompson in the 84th, and Annika Arsenault in the 88th, bringing the final score to 6-0.

Starting Bethel keeper Meghan Kiebel had one save for the night and Lauren Gatewood had four after replacing Kiebel in the second half.

Bethel awaits to confirm their at-large bid to the NCCAA National Tournament and see if they host the North-Central Regional.
