FORT WAYNE, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Soccer team (6-2-4, 0-1-3) tied their third consecutive match with the 2-2 final with the Saint Francis Cougars (8-2-3 1-2-1) on Saturday.
Ana Hernandez scored first in the 32nd minute off
Karly Harkness for Hernandez's second goal this season, but the Cougars answered in the 38th minute to tie the game 1-1.
USF took the lead in the 52nd minute but was denied the win by
Leena Thomas who scored unassisted in the 86th minute and ended the day with the 2-2 tie. Thomas netted her team-leading fifth goal in her 12 starts this season.
Meghan Kieble is now 3-1-1 in net for the Pilots recording three saves outside of the two goals scored.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots sit in seventh place as they prepare to face the NAIA 17th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats, second-place in the Crossroads League standings, on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. on Morey Field.
