Mishawaka, Ind. --- The Pilots fought hard in a close game with IU-Northwest but would ultimately fall short after letting up 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
Freshman guard Mariah Claywell and Sophomore guard Maiah Shelton shot the ball well, scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Overall, shooting from the perimeter was cold for the Pilots, shooting 3 for 21 from beyond the arc, and IU-Northwest had a similar drought shooting 2 for 13.
The Pilots won the battle on the boards outrebounding the Redhawks 36-29.
Shelton led with seven rebounds but accompanied Sophomore Abby Williams and senior Katie Kinker, who both had six.
The Pilots move to 4-4 on the season with their third straight loss, and IU-Northwest moves to 5-1 on the season.
