Box Score Indianapolis, Ind.--- After losing a close contest with #10 ranked IWU just 3 days earlier, the Bethel University Women's Soccer team lost back-to-back games for the first time this season, falling 4-1 to NAIA #3 ranked Marian Saturday night.
The loss drops the Lady Pilots' season record to 4-3-4 overall and 0-2-1 in the Crossroads League.
Leena Thomas and Jordan Mihut each managed to get off two shots for Bethel, but it was Aubrey Vervynckt who found the net in the 16
th minute for Bethel's lone goal to briefly tie the game at 1-1.
Goalkeeper Jael Schubert was tested all night contesting 17 Marian shots on goal.
The 13 saves were a season high for the freshman from Wil, Switzerland.
